    The OHSAS 18001 defines a health and security management system, preventing the occurrence of accidents from the reduction of operational risks, taking care of health and welfare of all our collaborators.

    In 1999, was published the first version through the national normalization entities action, resulting on the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS).

    In 2001, the standard second version results on OHSAS 18001:2007, the one that applies itself on the establishment of a management system of Saúde e Segurança no Trabalho (SST), to eliminate or minimize the risks to the people and other interested part which may be exposed to the SST dangers associated to its activities; implementing, keeping and improving continuously this management system aligned to SSTpolicy.

    Ecological Values: the reduction of accidents with the establishment of a bigger safety on the accomplishment of work activities. The attendance to pertinent legislation is necessary as a PCMSO (Programa de Controle Médico de Saúde Ocupacional) performance, as a legal procedure by the consolidation of Brazil´s laws of work, through the regulatory standard 7, wishing to protect the occupational health of workers, so as many other pertinent ones , what less generates risks to public power sanctions, but ensure above all, the greatest asset of any company, the physical integrity of its collaborators.

    Covolan Têxtil® is certified by OHSAS 18001 desde 2015, since 2015, that has been a conquering due to every other established actions throughout previous times, when safety is considered as a premise concerning work conditions.
